John, I ma still in version 8.53 of Edius with Mync. The version of Mync is :
1.1.3.2808.

If you receive and update notification in Mync with EDIUS 8.53 it is perfectly fine to update.The issue with the EDIUS ID is a bug which we can confirm.

So for clarity you will only get the notification if you have 8.53 installed.

EDIUS 9 user will also get update notifications for MYNC.

Thank you Steve for finding this out.

I didn't actually receive any notification, I found the update by accident, under Help / News. Not obvious. Is that the way it should be, or should there be a Pop-up notification?

If you did not disable the notification at startup you will see it once you launch Mync.

I don't remember ever seeing the option to disable the startup notification. Where is that?

I can't see it under settings in Mync
