I have just watch Matt Scott's videos on 8.2 new features, fantastic. For many years Matt has done fantastic work demonstrating how great Edius is, he's my hero. Check out his blog here http://mattscottvisuals.com/

I'm so happy I'm a Edius user after seeing the new tracking mask in action.

It is tough to make any Hitfilm comparisons yet. A direct plugin will be different than OFX Bridge

I have EDIUS 8.1 and EDIUs 7.6 on the same PC. Will I have to uninstall EDIUS 7.5 again to install EDIUS 8.2 or will it just update EDIUS 8.1

you need to uninstalll 7.52

then update EDIUS8

then go to system32 folder and sort by date so newest is on top

copy all files that are at top (they start with G or C and are the codec dll and save them to a folder somewhere

install 7.52

reboot

copy backed up dll files back to system32 overwriting the 7.52 versions of the codecs

EDIUS 7.52 works perfect with 8 codecs and 8 needs these codecs otherwise you get crashes when doing certain things

Great Job Matt as usual. I am looking forward to giving the new CC filter a go.

Hmmm, Interesting.. phraseology!

"Youse" is an Australian word, as in "How youse going?" or "do youse want milk with your tea"

"Omparjskns" on the other hand has got me beat!

ROTFLMAO. A combination of posting on a phone during a 5 minute break at NAB. Couple that with auto correct and it was a mess. Post is now edited.
