I've been looking at this too, as my Quattro 4500 struggles with Vitascene and Multicam editing.

The Nvidia GTX460 new edition has been overclocked and has 1 gig ram and is very reasonably priced here, but all my friends are telling me to spend a bit more money ($95.00 extra) and buy the GTX470 with 1.3GB memory, as it has newer architecture and will be running cooler.
They recently been reduced in price here in Australai so is probably better long term deal than the 460!

Cheers,

Vaughan

There is no such a thing as PERFECT videocard. You have to narrow the question or think about whole list of software you are using on editing machine.
GV recommends 512mb video memory for SD and 1Gb or more fore HD. I do not recommend ATI (AMD) cards, and I am canadian as ATI is...
From your list I would chouse NVIDIA GTX275, bu only if it comes with 1Gb memory, be aware that it is old card and the price should be very low, all the rest card are old too.
I am going to get GTX 470 from Gigabyte with 3 fans, it will cost me $350 Canadian dollars, but it is overclocked to the 480's speed and it has special power design to take less power and work 18% cooler then reference cards.
It has 1280mb memory and it works quietly. I checked this card for Windows7 64 bit, Edius5.5, Adobe CS5, Cinema 4D, Blufftitler, Vitascene, ParticleIllusion etc. That's all what I am using now...
I have a BFG GTX 280 OC with 1Gb which I am going to sell and I hope to get $200 CAD.
