So does this feature require an external audio source, or can it be used with an audio track taken from one of the cameras? (i.e. maybe copied from the audio track?)

You can use it with camera audio tracks. No problem.

It will also work with files from external digital audio recorders such as the
Sound Devices MixPre-XX Audio Recorders.
Combine this with wireless Tentacle sync units and you get pristine audio quality.\
and perfect sync.

Default Multi-Clips Cam

If I have multiple clips from each cam, like that AVCHD folder containg in STREAM folder wit M2ts files, Also P2 cam clips, How can I use sync Audio for 2 cams ? I tried to make each cam clips as a sequence and used audio sync for the 2 sequences but did not work, NO sync at all ?

Each camera need it's own unique Reel ID identifying the camera it was shot with. Display the Reel ID column in the bin so you can see it and easily edit it. Set all the clips from Cam 1 to have the same Reel ID (ie, CAM1), and all the clips from Cam 2 to have the same Reel ID (ie. CAM2).

The sync tool will keep all the clips from Cam1 on the same track and use a different track for Cam2.
