Default Special price upgrade and the drivers

I was wondering how long before the drivers are released for NX & SP cards?

In relation to the special price to upgrade which finishes at the end of the year. What if the drivers are not available by then? Would you expect people to buy the upgrade based on a driver release that has not been released?

The pound note has a promise to pay the bearer from the Bank of England
Perhaps GV will do the same likewise here for HDStorm

I have the NX with HD expansion cards, so am also keen to know the answer to Mark's excellent question.

HSTORM will be included in 6.01, which is scheduled for Nov/Dec release. There is no firm schedule yet for NX/SP hardware support, but it will not be this year.

The upgrade promotion running until the end of this year is to take ALL versions of EDIUS to version 6. When this promotion ends, we will still offer the EDIUS 5.x > EDIUS 6 upgrade at $299, so as long as NX/SP users are running 5.x then they will have an upgrade path.

That is good to hear...So what will be a good card to buy to replace the NX card. ...Dont want to go to the top...just a replacement for the NX, as I can see it will soon be a legacy product.

will it be next year then?
Dissapointing, no firm plans means it could be anytime. perhaps late next year?
Why weren't we told about this? I assumed it would be within weeks of V6 release.

Nothing runs to schedule here, This release sounds premature

Rule no 1. If there is no firm commitment then there is no commitment. NX & SP not important anymore?

No firm schedule Mark - there is a difference. When we have more info on a release date we will let you know.

I'll have to say that to the guy who binned his DV Storm at version 5 to get the NX. That will go down well.
