Default Just amazing.

Well I'm at the WEVA expo for event videographers and guess what was on display at the Grass Valley booth. Version 6.0. Wow is all I can say. This update is going to be pretty sweet from what I saw.

I told Mike Downey I should come on here and tell all it does. He said if I do he will have to kill me. :-) It's not as secretive as it was a few weeks ago as it's on display. Will be a good upgrade. I gotta go back to the trade show again tomorrow and see some more features. I only saw 3 new things and they were pretty cool. If you want to see it come on down to Orlando and check it out.

Ok....I better stop before the rumor mill gets rolling. It's gonna fun. :-)

I am so relieved to hear there IS a version 6. Any idea if Mike was using any Edius hardware with it? Fantastic news, now for the wait!

I hope it's a really good upgrade, one that spanks the pants off every nle on the market. I'm willing to pay $1000 if it does! I hope it's not a bunch of little upgrades as it has been in the past.

You have heavy fingers at typing, giving GV ideas on how much you would pay.

Think about the rest of the world.

Having been an original REX user to todays 5.5, I have never had to pay a 1000 or usd for an upgrade.

We all like the idea of new software, I can wait with others who are using the latest. I work well with mine, you don't seem to because you are willing to pay a lot for an upgrade.

I doubt the validity of the first post.

There has been no official announcement of a new product. If it was on display at WEVA, then I am sure someone would post more information.

But I saw it with my own eyes. It really was Edius with a few features I had not seen before. Mike was pretty excited about it when he saw me walk up cause he knows I'm an Edius fan to the core.

Jim
I have no idea if he had any other hardware going with it. I'm gonna spend a few more minutes there today and see if I can play with it. I'm making an onsite video for EventDV-TV.net and was busy coveriing the tradeshow floor so I didn't have too much time to hang out.
