Indeed, download with just a web browser fails everytime.
Using a download manager solved it for me, thank you for the updated tutorial.

The email is correct. I did order once more - same result. I did use another email - same name but other provider - and the download is working.

I thought that maybe the third time would be the charm but struck out again. The first time I got a little over 500 mb...second time 400 and the third time only 59.

sorry to be a pest about this but I liked the original tutorial on the GV site so much that I wanted to be sure and get this up date.

Just let me know the correct way to download the file.

Thanks again

Ronnie

Just use a free download manager and it will work.
I.e. FDM (free download manager) or orbit will do the job, if still problematic use single thread to URL setting, slow but steady.

Default Something seriously not right!

I registered...
I have received an e-mail

I cannot download directly - crashes
I have tried a download manager - gets to various stages and then ends!
I have tried the link from the e-mail and get an error message.

How hard can it be to create a down loadable file - ITS NOT THAT HARD!!

For anyone thinking about trying to get this - it may be worth holding on until they get it sorted!

Gavin ++ Please can this be sorted - for myself and all the other people out there wishing to view the tutorial and perhaps learn something new.
If this had been put up as free in order to showcase the site and its benefits - may I suggest the downloading is sorted out before the problem starts to turn people away.

David

I want to apologize to all users, having problems with the download.
As far as i can say, for most users it worked without problems.

Our web guys just starting investigation.
I hope we can fix this soon, so everyone should be able to download without problem. I will inform you, as soon we have updated the download management.

OK, just to help Gavin out here. A number of people have asked to be able to download this tutorial. This is not possible via Grass Valley University. So I agreed with Gavin that we would allow him to host it for this purpose, provided people registered for it. I don't think that this is unreasonable, as we are giving something of value in return.

However, it seems that the only way that this is possible is by using his e-commerce mechanism in a null state - which is not particularly user-friendly, nor is it particularly well explained. I will work with Gavin to try and improve this process. The download issue is a separate issue and Gavin is already working on this, but I wanted to explain the background here.

Just tried to download with my trusty Free Download Manager (which I use at all times) and the download stopped at 153MB (25% of total download file). I know you guys are working on it, just wanted to add my list to the kicks!

Let us all know, please ! ! ! !
