the Slingshot Cabernet from Napier Valley California is great, just had a few large glasses (Riedel from Austria) (not plastic cups)

no new EDIUS things I know at this stage, but the show only started and I walked for miles an miles but had lunch with cast of Everybody Loves Raymond

Some very exciting upgrades in EDIUS XS and STRATUS. But I assume that does not concern most of you.

Having just bought two upgrades to Edius 7 I'm kinda relieved there isnt any news!

Pre NAB is an anxious time to buy! I remember buying an upgrade to After Effects just before NAB a few years ago and promply having that version superceded by a new version within days. Very annoying!

Apparently AJA and GV have announced an arrangement to use some HD playout technology to take better advantage of zooming and panning in 4K vision. It would be interesting to see AJA raw files from their new 4K camera eventually included as native in Edius as part of this arrangement!

I personally would have liked to have seen a "Storm 12G" with HDMI 2! Atomos have (4K) 12G, BMD also have it and if these Australian companies can do it GV must be able to do it in their sleep!

A couple of quick things.
Stills and audio only file can now be used directly in XS
You can attach directly to a placeholder from the field. You can also access STRATUS footage in the field
