My, how time flies.

I still remember spending the day sitting in at the audio recording sessions for that video...

One of the most wanted items in the history of Canopus has been the promo DVD where a complete project (Greece project) was included. The project demonstrated the realtime capabilities and imho is still worth to watch. But I won't sell my DVD ;-)

There was also the project with the girl with the flowers in the pool... and the more-recent violin girl. Unfortunately I don't have those assets though.

Brandon, I know the girl with the flowers in the pool (not personally, though ;-) ) but only as a single clip. This was on the DVD with sample clips when the NX and SP were introduced, iirc. Never seen the violin girl.

Well I go back to Rex Edit 1.0. It seems like only yesterday (not really) that I opened up the box that came from B&H and plugged it in. I had been struggling with a project that was only 30 minutes long for over a month. Every time I tried to export it out to tape it would take 6 hours to render. I won't mention the name of the NLE software I was using. At about 5 hours and 59 minutes it would crash and then I would have to render it all over again only to find a typo.

I plugged in the new machine and with in an hour I was finished and all I had to do to get it to tape was to attach the recorder to the firewire output and hit the space bar. From that time I have never looked back. The old machine is still under my desk and runs like a champ. It has several scuzzy drives hanging on it some of them have the huge capacity of 18 gigs!!!!

My have times have changed.... I sure have enjoyed the ride.

Thanks to GV the ride has even been better. The only thing I miss during the ride is my Dongle. I wish it were back. Times were much simpler then.

I think the success to Edius is directly related to two things. One is a great product with super real time features. The other is the people on this forum.

Happy Birthday Grass Valley

Ronnie
