Default Clear the Player/Preview window?

I often want to clear the clip that is loaded in the preview window when I find it is distracting me (and I don't want to switch to Single Mode).

I am not aware of any way to clear that clip. What I resort to is loading a black clip instead.

Can the clip be cleared from the preview window?

Hi Friend

Thats easy. Create a black color clip in one of your bins and whenever you find
the preview clip distracting just double click on the black clip that you just created and it will automatically load the clip into your preview window.
However, if you want to continue editing your previous clip, you will have to re-load it.

Hope this helps

Hi there

Sorry, I did not completely read your request, and you are doing what I suggested. Another option is to start your editing with a black clip and double click on the first clip to load it back into the preview window. After editing you can remove the black clip. These are workarounds and to the best of my knowledge the is no way to clear the distracting clip.

Thank you. Maybe a black clip IS the only solution.

Press End on the keyboard, the player playhead will jump to end of clip and display black
