Default Bit rate question procoder 2

I have a project that is 2 hours and 8 minutes long. Normally my projects run about 1 hour and 47 minutes and I have been getting them to go on one disk using the following: video 5000, Max 6000, MIN 2000, 2 pass VBR and my results have been super. This project is way over the limit for one disk with no head room for menu and audio.

Anyone have a suggestion as to what rates to use to get it on one 4.7 DVD disk and still have reasonable quality?

Thanks

Ronnie

you need average 4500, max 4900 and min 2700

this is calculated allowing 256 kbps for ac3 or mp2 audio

i usually use this formula to count bitrate over 2 hour duration ---> 560/duration(minute) = bitrate

as my experience it always fit to 4.7 DVD

note: use audio AC3 stereo 192 kbps

just for example :

2 hour 8 minute = 128 minute

560/128 minute = 4375 ---> bitrate

i never change default min & max bitrate...

Ronnie, try these settings, you should get very acceptable with PC2 Master quality
Max 8500
Average 4460
Minimum 3000
Audio AC3 at 192
