Default Really enjoying Edius 6.5

I am a Liquid to MC to Edius convert. I used Liquid for many years and loved that I could put amost anything on the timeline and work it. Edius has been a blessing! I was able to install it and just start working. Granted I had to read up a bit on where things were but it was WAY better then sitting down in MC and trying to "unlearn" everything I had taught myself.

I shot a HD music video over the weekend (my first) and did most of it on a green screen and then shot some fill and background. I was able to put 3 tracks of green screen with the chromakey effect on each with a stereo MP3 track and can play it in real time. Granted I have a horse of a laptop but the ease of popping things on the timeline and adding effects, cutting, etc. is great and I can focus on the creative aspect of production verses fussing with how I get a certain thing done.

Well done Grass Valley,

From a happy new user!
Jeff

Great to hear!
Edius is the way to go.

Just a tip. If cutting to the beat, as with music videos, use WAV audio files instead of MP3s. That way the cut to the beat will stay and be more accurate and not drift randomly (MP3 decoding).

(I'd post a happy face here but the forum makes me type more... yes... I know I can change that... but it's more fun to complain about it like the rest of you. *grin*)

That is good to know on the MP3 and beat mapping. Thanks!
