I f Edius 6 drops support for the NX cards I will be very disappointed.
We have 3 edit stations with this hardware and the ability to ingest analog video is a major part of our work, and the NX cards do it so well.

However there must be thousands of NX users out there and not supporting the NX card would surely be a poor commercial decision

It supports NX, SP in an upcoming point release. ie. It may take a few weeks after EDIUDS 6 is released.

I look forward to getting Edius 6. There is a lot to interest me.

Disappointed there is no Vistitle included, even at a supplementary cost. There are no suppliers at the moment of Vistitle in the UK.

I think the free form matte is going to be very useful. I just wonder if that will lead to an automated mult-point motion tracker in the future?

I can sell to you from Australia. George can sell to you from the US. Just ask.

Thanks for the offer, but shipping, import and taxes won't make it sensible.

That looks like a worthwhile update, reflecting a lot of user input.

Initial observations:
1 Layouter now looks very close to Imaginate 2 with the addition of 3D;
2 50p/60p support welcome;
3 Export AVCHD to SD card could be very useful alternative to DVD/BluRay distribution in some circumstances;
4 Field editing could also be useful outside the (intended?) newsroom environment.

So it's just 64bit optimized? This means that EDIUS can't take advantage of more than 4GB of RAM? What a shame.

Also, Why did they cut up the promo video into over 20 video that are less than 2 minutes each?? I'm going through them and it's a bad experience. They should make one 20+ minute promo are 2 10 minute ones.

Can the hdstorm be used with edius to capture 10 bit hd footage or can that only be done through the new cards.

AVCHD was available in E5 even asked a question about them which no one was able to reply to
