Hi Bob, last week I also encountered a (different) issue and like you, tried to solve it first through the forum here.

I then contacted my reseller to ask to assist and they gave me the contact of GV support.
They also gave me the choice to either contact them myself or let them do it on my behalf.
I opted for their assistance to communicate to GV.

As Steve mentioned above, your reseller has priority at GV support and my issue was solved in a matter of hours.

If you do it direct yourself it might take a whole lot longer.

Send your reseller a clearly explained email regarding what happened , then follow up with a phone call if needed.
To speed things up i gave them my invoice and license number in the initial first email to them and by the 2nd email reply from them it was solved.

Good luck...

Well, after un-installing Edius 7 for the third time and going in to all directories and deleting anything that had to do with Edius / GV, then I went into the reg file and took out anything Edius or grass valley, I was able to re-install Edius 7 from my disk and update to the latest update. I'm back up and running. Ya!

I wrote to my re-seller and asked if they could delete the Activation that was lost because of the non-bootable drive. I did get a email back, but it looks like they do not sell GV products (Edius) any more.

"GRASS VALLEY EDIUS WORKGROUP 9 JUMP UPGRADE FROM EDIUS 2-7, EDIUS PRO 8,9 (DOWNLOAD)
This product has been discontinued.
We have discontinued this product permanently. Please use the navigation at the top of the page to find similar products or call us."

So, I guess I can not ask my Reseller for help in deleting the Activation that was lost on the drive. I did look at my License List on FlexNet and could see that the Activation dated 1-1-2019 is the one that was lost. Is there a way that I can manage / delete that activation?

I was still looking into Edius 9 jump upgrade, but not sure where I should purchase it now, that VideoGuys no longer sell it.

Suggestion
Thanks
Bob

The map only shows 5 reseller for the USA, and 2 of them did not list Edius 9 workgroup Jump upgrade. What about B&H in NY, they sell Edius, are they Not a reseller?

Thanks
Bob
