Default Issues with Blu-ray using Disc Burner/Burn to Disc

Now that I am resigned to the green button selection overlay of the Edis templates, I am now try to burn my first BRD

The burn to disc function did half its job - it created the BDMV folders but when it started to burn the BRD it stopped almost straight away at 26 seconds with an error message that it had failed.

I retried using the Disc Burner using the BDMV folder and the same thing happened - almost straight away at 24 seconds

I am using 5.12 with XP Pro sp3 and the burner is a brand new 8x Pioneer 205 and the media is 4x shintaro 25GB. I am burning at 2x and the program is about 11GB

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

hmmm

when burning with Edius closed, both BDMV and Certificate folders must go on disk, so you need to select the main folder that contains these 2 folders

and if using Nero9, be sure to set UDF type to 2.5
ImbBurn (free) also works well

Hi Anton,

yes, the BDMV folder I selected contained both the BDMV and the CERTIFICATE folders when I tried the stand alone Burn to Disc application - not sure why there were tow BDMV folders but anyway...

I don't have Nero 9 (but have looked at it) but will try ImbBurn (free) and see if this works.

First I'm going to get a BD RW for the tests so I'm not churning through good BD 's
