Default New compatibility withy Resolve 15 beta 3

I note that Resolve now has.....

◾decoding and encoding GrassValley HQ and HQX codecs in the AVI format

as part of the latest beta release.

A useful step forward?

I will definitely have to try this. I also have to say that when I use GV QuickTime files in Resolve I very often get "out of GPU memory" which I don't get with other formats.

This has already proved useful to me. The last two days I graded some precious old GH4 clips from September 2014 in Resolve 15b3.

Since my old computer back then was not powerful enough to edit 4K even on an HD timeline I had resorted to batch converting those early clips into HQ avi files using Canopus AVCHD2HQ converter. Hard drive space was another problem so I had also deleted the original MOV clips. Therefore I was not able to get those avi files into Resolve until now.
