Default Edius 7.5 Pro and Blackmagic Shuttle Thunderbolt

Hi,

I am trying to config EDIUS 7.5 Pro to use my DELL monitor (connected via HDMI) to a BM Shuttle Thunderbolt. I can see the device on my Windows 7. All the device drivers are installed. Even using BM Desktop Video Utility - can use it to set the output modes (1080i50 and 1080p25) on the Shuttle Thunderbolt. But - in EDIUS 7.5, under Settings, Preview Devices, I can see the Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt - Output displayed there. When I tried clicking on the "settings" - I have an error message. "Device doesn't support the current format. Unable to update settings".

What must I do next? Thanks.

TS

What is the frame rate of the actual project? Also, which driver version are you using?

Project is 1920 x 1080 at 50 frames, progressive.

I noticed the BM Desktop Video Utility is 32 bits only.

Version is 10.4.2 (the latest available from BM website).

The Shuttle doesn't do 1080p50. Your project settings have to match a supported format otherwise you get that message which is telling you the hardware doesn't support those settings

Thank you.

After I choose a project with 1080p25 to test, EDIUS is now able to show me a screen for stereoscopic display !!! Why? My DELL monitor is not a stereoscopic display.

Anyway, after I choose the Shuttle for preview device, I tried to play the timeline - but, nothing was shown on the DELL monitor.

Check your project settings, you probably have 'Stereoscopic editing' enabled. This will also be why you get no output from the Shuttle

I have double checked my project settings. It says "Stereoscopic Editing - DISABLED".

Did you check in the manual for the monitor that it will accept a 1920x1080 25p signal. A lot of PC monitors won't

I can't find it in the technical spec.

Even if I choose 1080i50 - I still get the same problem. No display seen on preview screen of EDIUS.
