Default EDIUS 7: always 1GB DVD playout!

Hey there!

I just updated from EDIUS 6.53 to EDIUS 7.01 and ive found a massive bug (maybe?).
I am producing a lot of DVDs. When i am trying to export my Project to a DVD, it sure tells me the expected Size of the DVD (for example 4.5GB). When i am exporting as a DVD it is never bigger than around 1GB. No matter what export settings i use.

Any Ideas?

Tobias

known bug when VBR is used

do not use VBR and all will be well until the bug is fixed

Cool

IMGburn is having a recommended 1GB file padding setting to be compatible with older players, maybe Edius 7 follows good advice :)

Default

that is not his problem

his problem is caused by an EDIUS bug where Diskburner indicates that the DVD will be 98% full and the resulting DVD will only have 1GB on it instead of 4.5GB

it is a known bug that needs fixing asap or you can avoid the bug by choosing CBR in disk burner

also, not not export to mpeg HD or SD with VBR or XDCAM HD VBR, all will end up faulty until the bug is fixed
