Default # of Fora / forums (whatever)

OOOOhh.....I have been away for a while and just returned to see all the new posting categories.

Edius here..... edius there....

Not sure how long it's been around or how much discussion there has been on it. Quite sure there has been some - probably behind closed doors KH!!

Just like to say I hope it gets bundled back into one real 'soon'. This is never going to go away is it? (this 'soon' thing).

Not even sure where to post this thing.

Bit complicated guys............just thought I'd let you all know. More consideration for the 'aged' please (my category) who like things kept simple for their simple minds.

I think this particular forum gets about 90% of the posts. They seem pretty self explanatory to me. The only other real EDIUS one is slanted more for Broadcast which gets involved into more server type situations and a few other things.

I won't argue that they are self explanatory "PJsssss". Just seems convoluted having to dart around so many edius corners.
Not age friendly....

There were a number of requests for "Does xxxxxxx work with EDIUS?" posts to be separated from actual product functionality posts. Thus, the third party forums were created.

There aren't any plans, aside from reevaluating the worth of the TV/Film forums, to change anything else.

Peter, it's obvious you need re-educating. Go and read the Edius manual for a while and when you come back this forum will be a breathe of fresh air to you.
Personally I like the forum as it is but would love email notification when someone responds to my post. It may be here but I can't find it.

Now now John, each to their own.

For e-mail subscription, go to your User CP -> Edit Options -> Messaging & Notification

You'll find an option for default e-mail behaviour for subscribed threads (threads you post in are automatically added as subscriptions by default).

I do think the TV/Film section has lost its way - would think that 90% of the posts are NON TV/Film and have as much to do with Broadcast as Veggie Burgers.

Redgum I am not sure what you are trying to say here. Please PM me if want to discuss this further 'offline'. As it is, it's a little offensive FYI.
Thanks
