Default Special EDIUS Workgroup 8 offer to existing EDIUS Pro 7 users

Thanks to everyone for the feedback that has been forthcoming since the launch of EDIUS 8 last week. Grass Valley is justifiably proud of the fact that this is an extremely vibrant user forum, and we do take on board the views expressed herein.

To this end, we would like to offer anyone who has purchased EDIUS Pro 7, a cross-grade to EDIUS Pro 7, OR the Jump Upgrade, between April 1st and July 31st, 2015, a FREE upgrade to EDIUS Workgroup 8. We have modified the FREE UPGRADE OFFER button on the EDIUS Pro 8 web page accordingly. If you have already applied for and received an EDIUS Pro 8 serial key, PM me and I will organize an EDIUS Workgroup 8 replacement.

We hope this goes some way to addressing some of the concerns people have expressed regarding the feature delta between EDIUS Pro 8 and EDIUS Workgroup 8. It is not our intention to penalize loyalty, more to shape the two different versions for different markets going forward.

Best regards

Steve

What about those of us who are already on Edius 7? Do we get the upgrade to Workgroup for $199, the price we would have paid for 8 Pro?

If you purchase the upgrade before the end of July, yes.

That is exactly what this is. If you are an existing user for any of the situations mentioned (for your question, "anyone who has purchased EDIUS Pro 7" applies) you get a free upgrade to Workgroup for the price of Pro.

Could you clarify this a bit more? Seems like it only applies to folks who recently purchased Edius 7. Too many commas in the original post. :)

Is it "all existing Edius 7 users" or "all existing Edius 7 users who meet certain criteria"?

Thanks.

That one line says it all:
'offer anyone who has purchased EDIUS Pro 7, a cross-grade to EDIUS Pro 7, OR the Jump Upgrade, between April 1st and July 31st, 2015'
.

It applies to anyone who recently took advantage of any offer that promised a free upgrade to EDIUS Pro 8. Instead they will receive EDIUS Workgroup 8. If you are asking whether we are just going to give away EDIUS Workgroup 8 to anyone with EDIUS Pro 7, then the answer is no. Apologies if that was misleading.

Yeah, great news, indeed! Now, with my application for upgrade to E8PRO pending, how am I going to proceed to request the download for E8Workgroups? Please provide info on process.

Just to be really specific. I have 7.5 on one PC and my laptop and 6.08 on another PC. If I Jump upgrade the 6.08 to Pro8 I get Workgroup for $299. If I upgrade 7.5 for $199 what do I get ? Pro8 or Workgroup assuming I do this before July 31. The end result is I want Workgroup on the main editor and laptop and leave 6.08 on the other PC so that I can still use TMPro titler anyway.

Great deal either way.
