Default NewBlueFX VE-III for free!

Just came across this promotion:

*** LINK REMOVED ***

I was pleasantly surprised that the version can be installed into various hosts including Edius 6.5x! All I can say is: thank you, NB!

We've received word from NewBlue directly that this offer was only meant to be distributed to Avid Media Composer users, and not the general public.

Per their request, I've had to remove the link. Sorry for any confusion!

So NewBlue likes Avid users more than Edius users!!!!!

I feel slighted.......

A Google search shows the same NBFXIII set is on offer to Vegas users. The download choice lists Grass Valley Edious. May be the offer is still to come and NB do not wish to have their servers overloaded.

Have downloaded under 'Vegas' and will check out on a backup system tomorrow.

Don't worry kids...
It's a promo.
Some day they'll get to us.

Rusty, I don't understand why they are picky about publishing the link when the installer allows any host. Maybe marketing didn't know that customers will get the full installer. Such things do happen. The logical way would be to launch a 'free for all' campaign immediately. Removing links may result in a 'Streisand effect'.

I apologize for any misunderstanding about this; the link posted was a promotion that we had arranged directly with Avid.

Of course we appreciate our Edius users, and we've been happy to offer you exclusive deals in the past. And I'm sure we'll have more offers coming soon; this just happened to be a special situation that was only meant to be sent to a small group of people. I appreciate everyone's understanding.

@ NewBlue_MJ

Any chance of 2 licences as per Edius. It's not the end of the earth but it would be nice to have one licence on main pc and a second on a laptop for working at home.

Tried this on Vegas Pro12 & Edius. Much prefer your presentation in Edius.

Many thank G
