i agree too, also a shame to point to a new feature were there exist several fixes to make and a LOT of features we (users) are been waiting for...

We will release more info closer to NAB.
What is in the press release is the info that can be currently shared.

Great news and good move by GV!

Provide free SDK (and no or small licensing fee) to all disk recorder manufactures and you will get many new Edius users.

Just please add better 10bit support on input/output sides (for directshow/VFW part of codec). Without this it's waste of HQXs capabilities.

Holdan was talking about 64bit as a next step for Edius at BVE. Sooner or later it will happen- GV has really no choice. No need to rush and have another unstable NLE.

That's something I agree with. :)
Although I understand the legitimacy of that question....

Bet the gamma keyframe issue will remain unfixed!

But nice to see GV being more open about the future and proper dates too. I do hope the days of cloak n dagger are over - we really need a bit of a roadmap - i know it wont happen but i can dream...

Please wait before assuming anything. Remember that we wil have a codec for Quicktime under Mac OSX which you would install on a MAC.
We have one for Windows.

By this we are creating a path.

Let's wait and see. :)

Maybe this was not clear from the press release?
Anyway once we will get closer to NAB more info will hit the forum.
