Default Windows 7 & Edius 5

Has anyone loaded 'Edius 5' on a 'Windows 7' machine?

I know it's not officially support yet ... just want to see how they play together.

I can't test this myself as it's not out here in Australia until the 22nd October.

Thanks

Bill :)

There is at least one thread on this subject already. My personal experience with a software-only Edius V5.12 installation has been entirely trouble-free.

the only problem is the hardware drivers, and no news when or if at all when they will be out.

Running fine here on the RC with Edius 5.12, HDStorm & Firecoder Blu......hardware is running on Vista 64 Drivers.

Only thing I have noticed is the Windows 7 file explorer has a few cosmetic issues from within Edius.

Just about to ask has anyone tried the Spark & firecoder blu card with Vista 64 bit drivers on Windows 7, I just checked a raid card at Adaptec and the Vista 64 bit and Windows 7 drivers are the same, also nvidia drivers are the same.

The driver model hasn't changed, so Vista drivers can generally be used.

Soundfreak, I think if the drivers for all the GV hardware come out soon for windows 7 they will be renamed Vista drivers, I have read alot of articles on drivers for windows 7 and they renamed the kernel 6.1 the same as vista because of driver/harware issue's, this is why Vista drivers all seem to work, i.e NVidia, HDStorm, Firecoder blu, ect with windows 7.
