Default Edius 9 8K

Is 8K part of Edius 9's future, or would this be something for E10.

Cheers,
Dave.

If you don't know the difference between Azimuth and Asimov, then either your tapes sound bad and your Robot is very dangerous. Kill all humans...... Or your tape deck won't harm a human, and your Robot's tracking and stereo imagining is spot on.

Is your Robot three laws safe?

EDIUS 8K is a purchased" option. It is available for some time.
A lot of 8k workflow test in different countries especially Japan are done with EDIUS turnkey systems.

Thanks Steve.

I'm just re-trying 9 again to see if it will improve my workflows. I take it that the lack of 8K in the trial of Workgroup is just because it's not a demo function?

BTW. Where on the main site is the info about the 8K add-on? I'd actually searched for E9 and 8K before I posted this thread as I'd assumed it wasn't available because I'd not found any info about it.

Are there any Edius 8K examples available that GV may have produced. Again, I'd actually Googled the phrase 'Edius 9 8K' but nothing turned up as far as info or examples, only Alex talking about Edius Rio and Go.

Cheers,
Dave.

Will ask for links, but we are used in full swing for 8k. Remember the Olympics in Japan next year. :)

We need to get permission to share. For broadcaster is difficult to get clearance.

Remember that we showed 8k editing with EDIUS 7. :)

Links and prices would be great Steve, thanks.

I seem to remember 7 having some flexibility with high resolutions but can't remember if I tried it out that high, I'll have to check my test project archive.

Before I go re-installing 7, what version allowed 8K/UHD? I can't remember but did 7 also have Lanczos? Maybe that's where it was introduced?

I'm doing a whole bunch of codec stress tests to see how YouTube responds to various inputs and its subsequent VP9 streams. There's actually certain benefits to uploading up-scaled, increased bit depth, dynamic ranges and colour spaces that positively effect the lower YouTube resolutions.

There are other options for these tests but I've no interest in going outside of Edius, so any information would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,
Dave.

Hi Steve, thanks for the clarification.

With regard the 8K option for E8 I was also unaware of that as well.

Is the the 8K license for E8 transferable to E9?

Where can I find price and tech info on these 8K options for E8 and E9? I canít find anything about either of them, maybe the info is on the main GV site but I canít find anything there and Google isnít coming up with anything either.

Cheers,
Dave.

Sorry to inform you that the 8k option is currently only available for our turnkey systems.
