Default Video 2K and 4K

just asking, if i shoot video full HD 2k and then import and edit project in 4K, is it still good quality or not?

if you make sure project has Lanczos3 HQ enabled and apply 20% sharpness to the clips, it should look ok (depending on camera quality of course)

The quality will look okay, but the best is to edit it in 2K then.
If you have mixed footage, e.g. 4k and 2K then it is better to do it in 2K.

just because they talk about it does not mean you need to do it

I shoot 4K ( UHD 60P with the GH5 and FDR-AX1) but edit in a 1920x1080 interlace timeline to output to DVD and Bluray. I shoot in UHD so that I can crop into the image, pan and zoom and give me extra effective cameras from the one camera. That for me is the only use of 4K at the moment and likely for some time to come. I have another likely use and that is to shoot HLG with the GH5 so that the "full stage" camera is a good high quality archive.
