some of the effects are good..
are these plug ins all 10bit or 8bit?

The effects from the EDIUS Effects collection are all 10bit.

Here is also a nice demo video done by an EDIUS user with the EDIUS Effects package:

EDIUS Effects is made for EDIUS 9, but they should also work fine with EDIUS 8 and might even woth with EDIUS 7. You can download the trial and test it:

Maybe I'm missing something but these look like the NB effects that have been around for a few years?

No, if you like them buy them I'm saying they don't look any different from what NB have been selling to a few years.
In my experience, of effects,90% are crap but there maybe a be amongst the other 10%.
It is always a personal choice and what maybe right for you clients.
