when upgrading from 7.5 to 8 Pro you will lose a few items, but you may not need them

1. you will loose the audio monitoring mode: this has nothing to do with the meters, you still have those
if you were not using the audio monitoring mode switch in 7.5 you will not miss it in 8 Pro
audio monitoring mode helps when working with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound mixing

2. you will loose the loudness meter, if you have not used it in 7.5 for correct broadcast loudness levels, you will not miss it

3. the 60 day activation won't harm you, even if not online for a year. Then when you start EDIUS after a year of not using, you will need to make sure your PC has internet access to auto reactivate, it happens in the background just like any TmpgEnc product

4. if you don't like the EDIUS8 (Premiere Creative Cloud) interface, keep using 7.5
