So, if already an edius 7 owner, I can re buy an upgrade from 6.5 to 7 now (226.80 fron DVC) and get the workgroup edius 8 ( 348 upgrade from 7). Or do I have to by the jumpgrade (250.80)? If planning to use workgroup this is a no brainer

If you upgrade 7.xx to EDIUS 8 Pro for $199, you get the free upgrade to Workgroup.

Let me try this another way. Basically if you upgrade to EDIUS 8, you will get Workgroup (if you want it). This offer is good through JULY 31, 2015

If you upgrade Edius 7 before July 31st, you will get Workgroup. If you upgrade 6.08 before July 31st, you get Workgroup.Either upgrade path will get Workgroup. As long as they are purchased before July 31st.

Thanks for clarifying Pat, but it does sound counter to the earlier parts of the thread.

It might be best to delete this thread, talk it over and re-post.

I will get it clarified and reworded. The dates of April through July 31 are to show that the Jump Upgrade, which was to expire today, has been extended to July 31 to match the free Workgroup offer.

If you upgrade 7.5 to EDIUS 8 Pro for $199, you get the free upgrade to Workgroup.
So, it seems that if I upgrade my EDIUS 7.5 to Pro 8 (for 139 plus tax in the UK) and register it before July 31st, then I automatically get an additional free upgrade to Workgroup 8. Which is just great.

In many ways this seems very just and fair, since we have all recognised that Workgroup 8 is the real upgrade from v7. Whereas Pro 8 could almost be seen as a downgrade.

Thank you GV. I think this offer will make a lot of people happy.

Great. Simple, if you upgrade by any means before end of July you get Workgroup 8. Now to find someone to buy from.

Now everyone is getting what is going on. :-) Ron, all the normal outlets should have everything shortly. Some of the delay was this major discussion going on internally about having this offer. Major kudos to Steve Wise for driving a lot of this!

Is this a physical upgrade pack or will we be able to just purchase a key electronically? DVC has the 7 to 8 upgrade for 166.80 so if I'm reading this right thats a really good deal (and I get to keep the loudness meter - essential if delivering for broadcast). Dave said he would get the upgrade packs in stock in a few weeks, Is it likely to come before the demo expires as that would really muck things up if the demo times out

It seems much easier to buy a key - delivered electronically especially as all the pack contains is a key

That is good news, as I already am using v7.5 and would want to upgrade to v8 Workgroup. So where do I get this deal in Australia, just checked and I could not find any reference to v8 anywhere.
