Hmmm. I don't have Vistitler. I only use TM Pro. Maybe I stick to EDIUS 5 first - unless Grass Valley can come out with an offering that bundle TM Pro with EDIUS 6 upgrade.

That's bad news.

Yup - it is BAD news indeed. I don't need Vistitle - too much money. Now with TM Pro - oh dear. I might very well stick to EDIUS 5 in that case. Let's see what Grass Valley comes out with closer to the launch of EDIUS 6.

Yes this is indeed bad news. I have Vistitle but lots of legacy TMP included E5 projects.

What's the feasability of running Edius5 and 6 on the same machine?

Given the way things were previously, I doubt you can run two versions of EDIUS in the same partition. If you do a multiple boot - you can install on Partition A - EDIUS 5 and on the other partition EDIUS 6.

FAIL.
Then don't upgrade. There's only so much that can be done before you have to cut off old stuff. Otherwise you drag a massive barge of old stuff behind you - look at Windows. They finally killed off 16-bit support in 64-bit Windows Vista/7. They probably could have continued to support it - but the added bloat and potential instability wouldn't be worth it.

Besides, we don't write TitleMotion. Maybe you should ask Harris to give you a free update so the v5-bundled TitleMotion will work in v6?

Why should we ask Harris? TGV supplied the titler. Now there's just a very expensive upgrade path for an integral part.

There is no further development for Tmpro. It is not a GV product.
Tmpro provided in previous versions works in that specific version.
There is still the option to buy it separate or follow Brandon suggestion of contacting Harris for a free upgrade.

I think it is time to move forward. There are better alternatives maybe it is time to look at some.

There is choice.

Also remember that bundles change Soundsoap, DIVX are a few examples of products of past bundles not carried forward.

Soundsoap has been replaced by iZotope. DivX is just a few bucks. So where's the replacement for TMPro?

Why do you think there needs to be a replacement?
TMPRO is available as an option. (you don't have to replace if you upgrade)
Vistitle is another option.
