Default Best real-time format for ingesting AE output?

Hi all:

Possibly getting EDIUS here; what format do you use when exporting from After Effects into EDIUS to get real-time playback but a good quality and file size?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Mate

We mainly use Canopus LossLess with alpha (if needed) this works for us...the important thing is to make sure your export settings from AE match your project settings in Edius (full HD or HDV) as this greatly helps timeline performance. You can also use Canopus HQ fine or standard and maybe save the lossless for the finished file when your happy your animation.
I must confess we tend to just use the lossless at full HD regardles and if it needs to render so be it....its fast in Edius with core i7.

Dave.

I am triggering from your real-time playback statement. You can export
to HQ with alpha and get really good RT performance .
Without knowing your specs it is hard to say what RT would be on your system or if you are talking HD or SD.
