Mark, I would guess that the playback codec has not been updated to the latest that E5 would have.

I would like to try this when I get home, but I am sure that my trial version of 5 has expired (I have 4.5). I can say that at the early stage of 5.0 it was fixed.

I am presuming both companies fixed it independantly in new builds, meaning we are back to where we started Pat.

Now, can i replace the E5 codec with the playback codec? Then it might work. What would be the downside of using the older codec?

I hate to reopen this old wound...

I have Edius 5 and Sorenson 5.0.4

Converted an HQ AVI which looks fine, but in Sorenson it converts out (FLV) upside down still even though it plays fine in the program. I was doing this fine awhile back, as soon as a month ago. I don't know whats updated to mess this up.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue but sort of academic since I have not been using Sorenson Squeeze and only Procoder 3 for several months now.

How do you do the same process with Procoder 3?

I like to convert an HD flv and a HD MPEG4 for the web.

I usually take my Canopus HQ Avi and convert into a 1600kps FLV or MPEG4. 5-6 minutes is about 60-80mbs.

I tried both Procoder and Squeeze (latest versions for both) to do MPEG4 for 720p in 25p over 50i. None has the presets. I went to Adobe Media Convertor CS4 - and found the preset. For about 4 minutes on the timeline (after output as HQ AVI - 2.9GB), CS4 took about 5 minutes to compress into MP4 (about 70-80MB).
