When Edius 6.5 released with 3D capabilities, it was during the 3D resurgence.
It is gone for now only to return when 3D rears it's ugly head again for UHD 3D.

I was fortunate enough to do some early 3D demos/testing with dual stream files at a company that was considering using 3D for weddings. We had a 65" Panasonic 3D plasma tv, the Storm 3G(Thunder) and the GV brick which was required to produce dual stream images. The hardware was expensive but it produced two 1920x1080 eyes and not half.
but, I learned how to do it from the manual.

Email Al Caudullo. He produced a bunch of 3D tutorials that is no longer on his site, at least I couldn't find them, and see if he still has them available.

Here's Al's website. You can contact him that way.
http://alcaudullo.com

Explain your situation and see if he actually has them on the web somewhere. Tell him I sent you.

Excellent, many many thanks LewS. Just what I needed although I think there may be a few (hopefully minor) changes in 8 compared with the 7 that Al was using.

Jerry - just the extra impetus needed, Ta

The process is pretty much the same as Edius 6.5.
Were you able to make a stereo pair out of the files in the link I sent you?

Yes thanks jerry, just fiddling as I have the wrong size/aspect at the moment and no time at present to experiment. I'm sure I'll get there now.
