Default Scrolling Graphics

How do I scroll graphics on the top half of screen only? Dancers are running across the stage on bottom half and I want the dancer names to run on the top half.
Thanks,
Ted

are you talking title crawl???

if so, you can place that anywhere, inside the titler or with layout

Your best bet with crawl or roll would be to place it in a video track and use Laout

Thank you for your response. I used the layout tool and it worked well. The only thing missing is being able to put a soft edge on the bottom.

I agree. If you need that use 3DPIP

I'm trying to put a soft edge on the bottom of a clip (it's a mirror image effect, and I want it to fade out on the bottom to the black background- but, if possible, not on any other side.
How can I do this? I've tried wipes, 3d p-i-p, and a couple of others. I'm doing something wrong!
And yeah: soft edge crop in layout would be perfect...

Vistitle would be lovely... yah works with what ya got!
Thanks Anton- actually tried that, several times... I'm not sure what was wrong... but working ok now!
There are all sorts of ways to work around and customise fx in edius, but you need to know the controls pretty well- I'm very much still learning!
