Default EDIUS_8.22_0623 & AJA KONA 3G Support

Hi i am trying to find out if Edius Work group 8.22 support to view 4K content or capture footage using AJA Kona 3G

I can preview HD content via AJA Kona 3G but not 4K UHD
Also if i can capture HD 1080 using KONA 3G

Thanks

Perhaps I'm ingorant, but I thought Kona cards were Mac products, not compatible with Windoze?

Jon, 3G is Edius and Win compatible and also 10x the price of a BM Intensity 4K.
Sanraj- what are you trying to "capture" from?

I would prefer a Kona card over a BM card any day of the week.

Even though its 10x the price? Are there really 10x the advantage?

This isn't helping the o/p-apologies.

The Kona 3 will not do UHD in Edius 8.2

The Kona cards are constructed to an equivalent of what GV used to manufacture. If the card would do 1:1 what the BM did, I would still rather have the Kona. I have a Storm 3G and that wasn't cheap either.

But, if I could get the equivalent BM for cost, that would be worth picking up.

Default GV says it can output 4k @ 30p

well, anyone reading this would conclude that, even though it will not take any input, it can output 4K at 30p:

maybe a case of obsolete documentation?

The OP says it doesn't do UHD. Maybe he should state what frame rate and whether or not he was using a UHD television to view it.
Then we will know. But I can tell you that it won't do 50 or 60p.

There isn't a listing for how to setup the Kona 3G in Edius 8.x for UHD. But, i did find one for Edius 7.4 and above.
The Kona 3G should be able to do 30p in UHD resolution with the proper setup.
