Default importing mxf files to Edius

Does Edius Pro 4 support mxf files? If so, how do I import mxf files from my pc to the bin so I can edit? Right now Edius does not allow me to drag the files to the bin. Thanks in advance

Try clicking on the Add to Bin icon and navigate to the files.

To add to what Pat said, you need Edius Broadcast to be able to import specific MXF files such as ones from XDCAM discs, P2 cards, etc.

Yes, you need Edius 4 Broadcast, and then the correct way to do this is to use the P2 Select tool.

However, I have dragged MXF files into the bin before without problems, but you don't get the flexibility that P2 Select offers (background transfers, optional copying of the files instead of just referencing them in their current location, some metadata handling options, clip preview).
