Default Emailed Edius to ask where I can get Edius 9 upgrade.. they told me to ask forum

Is it just me or does this seem bad customer service?
I emailed Edius asking "Hi I only just heard about Edius 9, how can I upgrade?"
the response I got was to ask the forum!

Can anyone else help me?

Is there NO upgrade option?
Edius site tells me to 'find a reseller'
https://www.grassvalley.com/products/edius_pro_9/

is BH the only place selling the upgrade?
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...9_upgrade.html

currently $179?

Default Edius 9 upgrade? where?

Hello. where can I get the edius 9 upgrade?
I emailed support and they said they didn't know and to ask here on the forum.

also I saw a closed thread where somebody asked if they could run 8 and 9 on the one system, why would somebody want to do that?

what are the advantages of upgrading to 9?

If you open a Edius 8 project with Edius 9 and save it, you may prevent the file from being opened with Edius 8 again. Having both version installed on the same system gives you the chance to maintain full backwards compatibility.

I have dealt with Videoguys several times over the years. They have had good prices and customer service.

Also check if you are getting the upgrade you want.
There is a difference between pro and workgroup.

You can also read about the new features of EDIUS 9 and the point updates released since it was introduced.
