You can do 2 things install the package from Microsoft or download the full installer of EDIUS 7.3. This issue is reported. :)

As a side note about my 7.3 install experience - I opened Edius, it told me an update was available, I clicked on update, the update started downloading and installing, it stopped and said (like it was surprised) there is a copy of Edius running that needs to be closed.

Well, duh! So I had to do a Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to system properties and end Edius as a process for the installation to continue.

There has to be a better way to design the "auto upgrade" process than this!

You don't need to do a CTR+Alt+Del, the 'download' box you clicked on will still be open on the screen, probably just behind the install screen, so you can just use 'Alt+tab' to get to that screen and close it.

As a side note, the Adobe suite does the same if you update from the 'Help' menu. For some people it can take ages to download the update, so they may want to continue working whilst it downloads in the background

Thanks I will try that next time. Still kind of 'pocket protector-ish' if you know what I mean!
