Default Edius 6 at WEVA

Yes I too got to play with Edius 6 at WEVA. However I was told it's a beta version. There were improvements to layout. The interface is cleaner. multi cam is revised a little. I was told It has improved performance. As fas a BIG changes or mind blowing new additional features.... I did not see them.... not on the version at WEVA anyway. Gota wait and see.

Those who can't say anything, won't.
Those who can, need to go back to WEVA to "shake & howdy" with Mike again.

What an inditement. The company never says anything to us who plead for information, yet displays it to a trade show and tells those there not to say anything. You also have special friends of the company who continually hint at knowing whats coming. It's clear to me that the idea is to say nothing officially but allow leaks from un-official sources. But I have no idea how it is a win for the community.

I fully agree, it's not a win, just frustration and annoyance that things have to be such a closely guarded secret. Information such as will it be a 64 bit or 32 bit application, and a few other such tit-bits surely would not give the competitors (who I suspect will know a fair bit about the software already) a great competitive edge, and would make looking forward to a new release a pleasure rather than a frustration.

If Edius comes out with 6.0 and it is a 64 bit version what happens to those of us who are still using 32 bit machines running 5.x with XP pro? Both of my main editors are running 5.50 without a problem.... the best and most stable version I have ever used.

Thanks

Ronnie

I agree with Rusty on the first part. You should have listened to him because there is no longer evidence of Edius 6 roaming the wild humid plains of the Dolphin hotel.
