In any project, the buffer in Edius is always at 128 Mb.
As to PNG image size, it's a good idea.
I deleted all added images in Vistitle and I'll see the stability in the next days.
Indeed, the crash ony happens one in a while.

Oh, yes, Dragon year is the best opportunity for V7 with 64 bits and many other improvements :-).

Happened within 4mins of starting Edius.

I did some corrections on my little project (duration : 10') with the same animated titles (without image inside Vistitle).
And at the first export MPEG2, it crashed at more than 4' for total duration 4'30 (export time).
I re-opened the project and try a new export without correction and no problem.

Another idea ?

For two days and after remove all animated titles (Vistitle), I'm working again on the hudge project (> 7000 clips).
No crash at all !
I rediscover the legendary Edius stability :-)

Probably the default in Vistitle should be tiny.

I wonder if my problem is related to this as well. My current project includes hundreds of photos mainly in jpg format. Edius seems to often crash when scrubbing across these photos which are animated using the layouter. Currently perservering until I finish this project before I attempt a complete reload of Windows 7 and all software. The crash requires me to reboot the pc each time as just restarting Edius leaves me unable to view any video either in the preview window or the external monitor via HDSpark.

Default VisTitle 1.8 and EDIUS 6.06

I have also been seeing this issue. EDIUS mysteriously "locks up" after saving a VisTitle animation and attempting to play it on HD timeline (1920x1080).

I do have the buffer set to 128MB though. . . . so I guess I'll try reducing the buffer to see what happens

Quite often Edius crash crashes GV hardware (or maybe it's other way around actually)- I have the same in Edius 5+ Thunder card (very rare)- than you need to restart PC. If you make project in software mode than it will work without restart.

I certainly cannot agree with that. Sometimes third party apps in Edius will cause a few crashes, but GV hardware and Edius itself are not usually a problem at all.

I'll second that statement, Edius and GV Hardware are extremely stable.
