The HD Spark is a HD output card like Black Magic Mini Monitor

The Firecoder Blu is a dead product that was used to accelerate Blu-ray export on slow PCs, so no, you don't need it

Even if you want to use FIRECODER Blu, GV has discontinued support in Edius very soon after a short product cycle!

Why do we need HDMI output port like HDspark or intensity pro? What benefit we have for HDMi output port. Thanks

IMO the main benefit of the HDMI output is the ability to connect to a HDMI monitor or TV set (including the audio stream) directly from Edius without relying on the video quality of the PC's graphics card. It also provides a third screen if you graphics card is limited to two. (One can get by without the HDMI output but I find it good to have for what I do.)

(Also, the Intensity Pro allows capture of HDMI sources that are not copy protected.)

Without getting too technical, Video monitors and computer monitors display video differently. Computer monitors are progressive displays, with a fixed refresh frequency that does not match video and normally work in RGB colur space. A video output card lets you see see the video on a video on a tv in it's proper interlace or progressive format, at the correct refresh frequency, and correct YUV colour space of most video, but may video monitors can also accept an RGB signal.

These differences often result in video on a computer monitor suffering from incorrect colour reproduction and visible tearing kinds of glitches in video unless the video is processed to match what a computer monitor is optimized for.

Because of these differences a proper video output to a tv or video monitor lets to better evaluate of you have problems with your video.
