Update on the Dell S2209W.

Did a quick test for you PAL folks and here are the settings it supports:

720x576 4:3
720x576 16:9
1920x1080 50i
1280x720 25p

I can't seem to get the HDSpark format utility to recognize my monitor so I would post a screenshot of what resolutions are supported, so I had to do manual tests. The quality is pretty good, but obviously the blacks aren't as good as higher end professional monitors. But for a ~$200 monitor, it's pretty good (native 1080p monitor).

Ok here's two shots of the screen in action, if anyone is interested. The first is HD the second is SD, both out of the HDSpark (HDStorm should have similar results).

Hope this helps people.

Monitor. Original SD (one that isn't down converted by EDIUS) doesn't look that bad, but it has jaggies....it is manageable if you're going to finalize it on a different computer with a better monitor.

Default HD SPARK with AOC 19" Wide - 917Fwh

I just connected my HD spark with AOC 19" Wide - 917Fwh with and HDMI cable and I have a nice preview of my HD footage now straight from Edius. I am wondering though, is it possible to make any set up (test) of colors, brightness and contrast on my monitor to be sure that the picture that I see is real and relevant??
PLEASE HELP!!!

LG M227WD True 16X9 - Used on HD Storm with bay.
Have tried PAL 4X3 SD HDV 1440X1080 50i HD1920X1080 50i. not tried NTSC.
A great monitor 22 inch 1920X1080 screen, good up-scale, plenty of inputs including 2XHDMI, 1Xcomponent (SD/HD), composite and S (SD only)
Note: SD on HDMI relies on Edius upscale, project output must be set to an HD format.

Check this post. I put up a page that tells you how to calibrate monitors. You should probably skip the "blue only" part since these monitors don't have any professional features like that.
