Default Asus P5W DH Deluxe and HDStorm

Sorry, but I want to find out as much about this as possible.
Could someone please confirm that this card will/is working 100% with this MB.

I think that if GV is saying that it is on the list you should believe them....

however you can see the list here: http://desktop.thomsongrassvalley.co...patibility.php

Hi Aristotelis, your right I know :) but its just me, like, if its on there, what more is there to be said. I thought someone might comeback and say, yes it works 100%, go for it. GV UK said it "should" work. Not a lot of confidence in that.

So I take it, it works with my MB.

Update: should have said thanks BTW.

Hi Tony,
Unfortunately when it comes to technology there are not many people that use the words 'will work'. As there are times when it just doesn't, but thats not to say that your motherboard should have any trouble.

Thanks Chris yes I understand, its just hard to know but as far as we know it should.
Just thought of this, perhaps you could answer it.

I sometimes make a copy of my project form the Edius TL via firewire from my DVStorm2 into my Panasonic DMR EZ45V. Play the timeline and record to DVD at the same time.
This lets my client have a look at it first, before I would start and encode it.
I wouldn't be able to do this with HDStorm, or would I. Would the HDStorm+ with the Storm bay let me do this.

FYI, I only put up boards that come from Japan's test reports. That is, someone actually physically plugged in a product into that particular make/model and tested it.

I've little reason to question their reports. Of the 10 or so "soldiers they march off to war" only a few return that are OKed for compatibility listing.

In Generic OHCI mode you could do this (realtime DV output via Firewire) as long as your system has an OHCI-compliant Firewire interface.
