Are you absolutely sure that HQX carries HDR colorspace information. The only HQX that does this for me is HQX MXF.

My Workflow is such that I use my Edius 10Bit Timeline and setup a HDR Project in Resolve with it.
Resolve exports the HDR Metadata according to Project setting e.g. in main10
profile.

What I'm saying is if you export an HQX clip from the Edius timeline, with all of the HDR colorspace settings applied, the encoded HQX file will not retain the BT2020 information only HQX MXF will do that. XAVC will do it as well.

I didn't say that.
HDR Work is done in Resolve and normally i am exporting XAVC-I 300 10Bit 422 to Resolve.

It sure reads like you are saying an HQX or XAVC-I file using Resolve will create a file with HDR.
Is Resolve using the HQX file differently than Edius? This needs to be clear for other users.

No, not at all.
The Resolve Export File is 10Bit H265 with the HDR Metadata like:coulour_primaries, transfer characteristics, matrix coefficients,Mastering_Display_ColorPrimaries,Mast eringDisplay_Luminance,Max CLL,Max Fall etc. according to Resolve Project setting.
All clear now ?

It would be great if they would add NVIDIA NVENC as an option, especially for those users with X99 and X299 MB's for which their CPU do not have the QuickSync available. It would save a lot off time encoding even H.264 and H.265(HVEC)

Here they export h.264 using the AMD 1950 and Intel 7940 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7WaXHB5FoU
To me it looks the export on the heavy multicore CPUs works.
