Default Neat Video

When asked about a Neat Video version for Edius, the NVTeam responded, "That currently depends on Edius team. We are waiting for their feedback regarding certain compatibility problems."
Not sure what that really means, but hopefully it is being resolved.

I understand the proprietary aspect of negotiatiosn with other companies. I would hope the discusison with NeatVideo is related to a native plug-in that can carry into the future, and not rely on what appears to be spotty support via the AE bridge.

My prupose is to express the end user interest in having this capability witha smipler work flow.

A fair question. I've not seen much in the way of comparisons among these products as to video noise reduction effectiveness, and few reports from folks who have tried both. The few posts I have seen seem to favor Neat Video.

Neat Video appears to have a substantial following and is well established for this purpose. It is arguably the better known NR tool. They do have a demo available for download for use with other prodcuts, including Virtual Dub

I have used NV in Virtual Dub, but have not tried the other two products NR capabilty. Reports of results obtaind by others would be of interest.

I wonder if trying to contact New Blue or Boris Red on this topic will provide better results in getting a better NR in Edius since they help initially with providing a better workflow. im sure they would want more sales on their NR products. If we told them what we were looking for than hopefully maybe they will help provide something as good if not better.

Sounds like they have a deal with the other plugin designers. That's fine, but someone said you could use AviSynth scripts? Can we discuss that here?
