Default Vitascene service pack

With a PC of 24 cores you can not install the Vitascene software from EDIUS 6 CD.

Good thing that there is a service pack to fix this.

Quote:
Vitascene Service Pack for EDIUS v6.x
Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7

Download the latest release of the Vitascene software service pack directly from proDAD. You will need to have installed EDIUS v6 and proDAD Vitascene for EDIUS 6 to install this service pack.

Issues fixed in this release:

Fixed issue that Vitascene installer froze when installing onto a computer which has 24 cores.
Now, if you can't install Vitascene from the EDIUS 6 CD but you are required to have EDIUS 6 & Vitascene installed to use the service pack.... which fixes the installation problem on 24 core machines...... someone getting the drift of this?

Maybe you missed my sarcasim (or maybe you didn't). The point is,you can not install either the software from disc or the service pack with 24 cores.

I did not miss it, but I wanted to imagine myself with a 24 core machine, will it come with wings?

lol. You need some Red Bull for that.
It's twice as fast as my lowely machine anyway but it does have teething problems with some software not ready for it.

That's a good one, but still a problem ..............

Try pulling one processor from the board when you install :) (can you disable core's / hyper threading in your bios ?)

Can you assign cores to the installer ?

I'm the poor sucker with 24 cores and I can't fly Red Bull or otherwise. :-) Funny thing is only this morning Mark suggested I play with the hyperthreading in the bios (as in turn off) to see if I could install the software with only 12 cores, not my forte unfortunately I got stressed enough last night installing Edius 6 and my new Storm 3G......arhhhhh!!!!

BTW looks like Vistitler also has a few issues with 24 cores (to be fair am yet to test on a true Edius 6 project, only tested on an imported 5 project so far), however I took great pleasure in seeing my CPU's maxed out for the first time today (84%) after fusing out an HQ file from Edius 6 and converting to H.264 with Adobe Media encoder (blurter wouldn't recognise an encoded HQ file from 5!! ), 1920 X 1080 50i, 1 hour 27 minute file took 3hrs 34 mins to encode. :-)

Actually this is more like my computer lately!!! (warning bit of language)! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGIyd...yer_embedded#!
