Default Neat Video & Filter Order...

Is there any chance we can get Neat Video to go to the top of the filter stack when applied? I know this is an Edius choice and not a Neat Video issue as stated by Vlad.

If you have a lot of clips or just simply forget it is not positive! I know it is on the feature request list but how many years will this take? :) I do not have Edius 9, so I do not know if it is "fixed" in that version.

If it needs to be on the top, why does it go to the bottom?

Thanks.

Hi Bassman. No it has not been fixed in Edius 9. Still the same annoing workflow of doing it one by one manually.
I fully agree with your request.

Actually there is nothing to fix.
A user decides where a third-party effect goes in the stack.

It is also very easy to apply neat video in the first position. Just save a preset with it in the first position done. It is even faster then posting on the forum or waiting for the user request. :)

Steve, please do this with several other effects on the file.
You will notice that other effects will be moved above the Layouter. At least it does in my Edius 9 W.
Or have I missed something?

It depends how you tackle this. Usually you do Noise reduction before doing other effects. That's why you want it first in the stack in the first place.

If you do the noise reduction first on the needed clips there is no issue.

Yes I know that some can come up with 10.000 reasons why it cannot work in this or that scenario but I think do what gets the Job done.

This is a simple way to have Neat-Video first in the stack. A little planning makes the process easier.

But there is also wait until that feature gets implemented. It is up to the editor to decide: what is more important the Job or the feature..........
