Default Underexposed Subject due to backlight!

Hi,

Anyone tried any edius 5 filters to brighten up an Underexposed Subject due to backlighting footage?

I tried using Color Wheel by adjusting its Brightness, Contrast & Color Correction yet the final looks so grainy!

Arrrgh...a Big mistake I committed during an impromptu interview1

Many thanks in advance.

Copy the clip and set in directly above the original clip on a higher track and then apply Screen (in Keyers > Blend) to the higher clip.

After watching the colour balance tutorial on this forum I now use the YUV filter to fix lots of dark areas or over bright sections.

It's amazing what you can achieve with it. Have a play!

Cheers,

Vaughan
