Default BM Intensity Pro 4K video Spec.

I have some 1920 X 1080 29.97P video to edit. Monitoring is fine on the computer screen but BM Intensity does not display.
Edius reports that the format is not compatible with the device "switching to software mode". Has anyone any experience of this problem? BM specification clearly indicates that this format is acceptable.

Do you have it showing in the Preview Devices? Make sure your external monitor (TV?) will play that resolution. That warning (which can be turned off), shows that EDIUS either does not see the BM card or the TV cannot play that preset. It is switching to OHCI.

Yes the warning can be switched off but that does not solve the problem.

It is showing in preview devices. Edius sees all other formats that I have used. Are you implying that if it's the monitor that is not compatible that would be reflected back to Edius triggering the message, if that is the case that may well be the cause, I will check the spec.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Run the EDID tool in Edius to determine what resolutions your monitor can handle.

OK Jerry but how? I find EDIDMonitor.exe in the GV - E8 file (579KB) but it will not run. Other than that I can find no helpful information on EDID in the forum or anywhere. Looking back in my Edius notes I find I used HQX-E1 Monitor (included with HDSTORM) in the past; EDIUS 6 I seem to remember. Then on one of the copied charts 1920X1080p @29.97/30Hz is shown as OK.
I used software mode and completed the job so no panic but I would like to verify this aspect.

I just tried it with my Shuttle and the BM product does not show in the drop down. So, EDID might just be for GV cards.

Thanks Jerry that does seem to be the case although I understand the software to enable Intensity to run with Edius is written by GV Edius. To which drop down do you refer - tools ?

The software is written by BM and adapted by GV. Big difference.
