Default Bring Ex3 Clips into Edius Bin

After all cards are transfered to HD with clip browser 2 I launch Edius, get the correct project settings and then I select all clips and drag clips from clipbrowser to Edius Bin.

1) Is this the correct way, (New to this, so I want to start of right)
2) Close CB and edit my clips in HD as I would do in SD.
3) Then export for SD DVD, just not sure of the correct exporter to use.

Thanks in advance.

That is what I do (I read somewhere that also the work flow for Canopus with Sony EX1/EX3).
Or you can convert to Canopus HQ to edit.

There's no need to convert to Canopus HQ. Raw EX 1/3 files work perfectly.

I'm working with the ex3 files now just as they are and it seams to work just fine.

When exporting for SD DVD, just not sure of the correct exporter to use.
And If I want to export for Blu Ray whats the correct one.
Thanks.

HQ file will be easy for the system to handle.

to blu ray - couple ways to do it:
1. Export: Burn to disc - select blu ray burner ...
2. Export to mpeg2 HD (program) by using PC3 and use MovieFactory 7
3. Many posts in this forum (and Procoder) about output to blu ray - use search.

Export to SD DVD, I tested one method: change the project output to 720x480 59.94i 16:9 (DVD) - result was pretty good.

You can use virtual dub method (check out Anton website) or again search the forum.
