Default Edius .aaf to Vegas for 5.1 Audio

Has anyone successfully done this? I'm having trouble when importing the aaf cos weird things happen to audio like doubling each track and not importing pans, fades etc.

Workflow is as follows:

Edit in HDV Edius
Export .aaf use originals
Import .aaf in Vegas ******* << having trouble here
MIX :)
Export AC3 audio only for dvd authoring...

If you just want AC3 why don't you just export from Edius? I do my audio in Vegas so only use AAF for the original audio from Edius, then import the mix back into Edius as WAV file for the rest of the edit. However all my audio is just stereo. I use Edius 4.54 and Vegas 8b. For the AVCHD( 5.1) and HDV for family stuff I do the editing in Vegas.
